Introduction

This web site has been developed by the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission (NOHSC) in collaboration with the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. Its intent is to provide access to OHS information from Australian government agencies that have responsibilities for OHS and/or workers' compensation. See Jurisdictions (below) for a list of the agencies that are included.

Information Categories

The following table briefly describes each information category.

Welcome	The Welcome page gives a brief introduction to the web site.
News & Events	Current news on safety and health at work is presented. There are links to press releases and OHS events.
Legislation	Information on OHS legislation, standards and guidelines is listed.
Good Practice	Links are provided to information on good OHS practice. This includes guidelines, codes of practice, procedures manuals, regulations, and other documents.
Research	Research projects and initiatives from government agencies are highlighted.
Statistics	Information on OHS statistics and surveys is available.
Chemical Safety	The Office of Chemical Safety at the Australian National Occupational Health and Safety Commission (NOHSC).
Training	Various OHS training programs are described.
Topics	Topic-based collections of OHS information are presented.
Publications	Links are provided to many OHS publications, e.g. magazines, newsletters, hazard and information alerts, policy documents, bibliographic databases, etc.
Discussion	Read about interactive discussion forums and follow links to the forums.
